On August 1st, a momentous event was recorded in the country with the inauguration of the Direct maritime trade route between Nicaragua and the People's Republic of China, with the arrival at Corinto port of the ship Sunny Fortune.
The ship, which arrived from the Tianjin Port, China, inaugurates this maritime and commercial route, which reinforces the strategic association that promotes the Good Government presided over by President Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.
El Comrade Laureano Ortega, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, thanked the great Chinese people for the high attention and priority they give to this relationship of brotherhood between Nicaragua-China and especially thanked the Chamber of Commerce of Multimodal Transport of the city of tianjin, port where this ship has sailed.
“On this very special day we would like first of all to thank the President of the People's Republic of China, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, the comrade and brother Xi Jinping, on behalf of our President Commander Daniel Ortega Saavedra, Secretary General of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, Our Vice President, Comrade Rosario Murillo, on behalf of our people and our Government”, he thanked.
He said that today marks the arrival of this first ship, which establishes the direct maritime trade route between Nicaragua and China.
“A transcendental event, a historic day for our country and as the name of this ship, Suerte Soleada, predicts, we are convinced that this is the beginning of blessings, of the blessing of light that brings us the strategic relationship of brotherhood that exists between Nicaragua and China, that will benefit our people through trade, economic exchange," said.
He said that this is a special and transcendental day, which reaffirms this strategic association between Nicaragua and China, and which is also framed within the initiative of the Belt and Road, raised by the President Xi Jinping, for the entire world, which has already celebrated its tenth anniversary and of which Nicaragua is a part.
"We will be working to deepen this cooperation in all the fields and mainly in the field of infrastructure, where we have established a comprehensive plan that will benefit our people, which will allow us to make important leaps towards development, improvement of living conditions of the population, more jobs, giving us more opportunities to take our products to new markets and have better and greater alliances with international companies, especially Chinese ones", he assured.
He reiterated his welcome to the Chinese brothers who visit Nicaragua, set up their companies, and establish business alliances with the Nicaraguan people and companies.
At this important event, the following were present: Comrade Laureano Ortega, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation; Retired General Oscar Mojica, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure; the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Chen Xi; He Wei, the Minister of Development, Industry and Commerce, comrade Jesus Bermudez Carvajal, the representative of the company CAMC; Bruno Gallardo, Minister of Finance and Public Credit; Engineer Absalon Martinez, mayor of Corinth; Jose Manuel Espinoza, Departmental Political Secretary; the Mayor of Chinandega, Aura Lila Padilla.
El Chinese Ambassador to Nicaragua, Chen Xi, shared the honor of being able to visit this prestigious Puerto Corinto.
“This is a dynamic port, from what we have been able to learn, an efficient, very professional port, as we have been able to read and learn, a port that has been promoting and contributing enormously to Nicaragua's trade with the entire world and I am sure that it will continue to promote with more impetus and more success the trade between Nicaragua and the rest of the world," he pointed.
He took the opportunity to extend his sincere and friendly greetings to President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, for serving the people and for their willingness to promote friendships between China and Nicaragua.
“We will continue to triple our efforts to develop a deeper friendship and successful cooperation with the Nicaraguan government, led by the Commander Daniel Ortega and Comrade Rosario Murillo, we will achieve greater success in our efforts to build two countries with greater prosperity and greater well-being for our peoples," he claimed.
For his part, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Oscar Mojica, He shared that this transcendental and historic maritime route has been possible thanks to the drive led by the Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, in close alliance with the government of the People's Republic of China, which runs the President Xi Jinping.
He mentioned that this new route will have a significant impact on the country's economy and on the trade exchange with China.
"The route will be operated by three vessels, arriving with a monthly frequency to the Port of Corinth and in the port area, a direct trade route saves navigation and waiting times for ships, reduces maritime freight costs, improving supply chains and strengthening the integration of multimodal transport," express.
