Within the framework of 17th China-Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit, Nicaragua signed this November 18th agreements and contracts with Chinese companies, to carry out important projects that will contribute to the development of the country.
El Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, said that these important projects will provide the opportunity to give leaps towards development, generating jobs, creating prosperity in the country and will help in the eradication of poverty.
The document signing ceremony that took place at the Dario Hall at the Olof Palme Convention Center, began with the signing of the contract Engineering, Procurement and Construction for Port of Bluefields in the Nicaraguan Caribbean. Document signed between the company China CAMC and Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Nicaragua.
The following cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Nicaragua and the company CCSI, for the design and implementation of a Smart Logistics Center in Nicaragua, cooperating with the facilities of the Nicaraguan Port Company.
As part of the effort made by the Good government, to strengthen the country's logistics capabilities and strategic alliances with Chinese companies, the YTO Express logistics company signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure structure, for the design and installation of a regional logistics center, from Nicaragua for attend to the Central American region.
Promoting investments with the brother people of the People's Republic of China, The agreement was signed between the Secretariat for the Promotion of Investments and Exports of Good Government and the Chinese company ACTISA, for construction of the New Eastern Market.
Another of the agreements signed was between the Nicaraguan Investment and Export Secretariat (SPIEX) and the company American Recycling for the construction of a metal recycling plant that will be located between Masaya and the municipality of Nindirí.
Also in the energy sector, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Nicaragua and Chinese company CCCC for the construction of the El Barro Wind Farm.
El Comrade Laureano He also detailed the signing of a cooperation agreement to strengthen the life and health of the Nicaraguan people. This contract was signed by the Nicaraguan Social Security Institute (INSS) and the company Sinopharm.
"This cooperation agreement is for the supply of drugs in Nicaragua and the design and construction of a regional drug production and distribution center," Laureano said.
Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo thanked the Government of the People's Republic of China and its institutions, for contributing to the economic growth of Nicaragua.
«For cooperating with Nicaragua in a respectful manner, in a supportive manner and because together we work for the mutual benefit and for the development of our country and for the full participation of Chinese companies in theNicaraguan economy and through Nicaragua throughout the Central American region," said comrade Laureano.
