This Sunday, August 18, Nicaragua received the visit of an important Official Business Delegation of the People's Republic of China, at the Augusto C. Sandino Airport, who was attended to by the companion Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, Comrade Erwin Ramirez Vice Minister General of MIFIC and the companion Karina Mejia, Director of Investment and Export Promotion (SPIEX).
The delegation is headed by the Comrade Li Xinqiang, Director General of the Department of International Trade of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China.
El Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo, He said that they gave a warm and cordial welcome to Nicaragua to this important delegation from the People's Republic of China.
"A trade delegation led by Brother Comrade Li Xinqiang, Director General of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the People's Republic of China, which has been leading a large delegation of 32 people, 32 brothers and sisters from the People's Republic of China; eight colleagues from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and 24 businessmen who come to work with our country, with our companies, with our Nicaraguan colleagues, to promote the export of Nicaraguan products to the market of the People's Republic of China«, he stressed.
Laureano said that on behalf of the President Commander Daniel Ortega, Vice President Comrade Rosario Murillo, "We would like to extend the warmest welcome to this delegation and to thank President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party of China, the Government and people of the People's Republic of China for the high attention and priority they give to this bilateral relationship of brotherhood, fraternity, and cooperation for mutual benefit between Nicaragua and China."
They will carry out extensive work and a Business Forum
The Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation of the Republic of Nicaragua reported that this large delegation from the People's Republic of China will be working with the institutions of the Sandinista Government, the Central Bank of Nicaragua (BCN), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Secretariat of Investments and Exports.
The work will focus, Laureano explained, "on analyzing and reviewing the great potential that exists to promote the export of Nicaraguan products to China and to promote Chinese investments in Nicaragua, in order to export food products and all kinds of products to this great market."
They will also be holding a Business Forum on August 20, where they will be sharing with Chinese and Nicaraguan businessmen and promoting commercial alliances and the strategic association between Nicaragua and China.
Furthermore, the Free Trade Agreement signed between Nicaragua and China, which is already in force, will be fully exploited, as will the direct maritime routes that already exist between both countries, as well as all the potential and opportunities that exist to strengthen bilateral trade.
"And as we have always said, with Nicaragua as a platform for the entire Central American market and China, which is our platform for that large market and the Asian market," he said.
Finally, Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo expressed his deep gratitude to Comrade Li Xinqiang and the large delegation, "for visiting us and we are ready to begin work and always provide more benefits to the Nicaraguan people. Thank you very much, comrades."
